Mazda, Subaru and Mitsubishi add 715,000 vehicles to the massive Takata Airbag Recall List. Mitsubishi is recalling 512,000 vehicles and the formal notices had not yet been filed. Mazda is recalling nearly 112,000 vehicles and Subaru is recalling 91,151 Imprezas for faulty Takata exploding airbags.
Takata airbags has its airbag inflator defective. On a airbag safety test for defective 30,000 airbag inflators from recalled vehicles, 265 units had ruptured. These Takata airbags possesses serious vehicle safety risk to general public and it needs to be addressed as soon as possible.
